Raising a child comes with many financial implications and after parents separate child maintenance is often a very contentious issue. All parents have responsibilities and when a parent doesn’t have a child live with them full time or on a fully shared care basis, there is often child maintenance to be paid to support the upkeep of the child when in the care of the resident parent and to cover every day needs such as food, clothing and housing.

Macnabs has raised almost £9,000 to support vulnerable people through a charity will-writing scheme. Macnabs raised a total of £8,960 for charity will-writing campaign Will Aid last November, after its staff volunteered their time and expertise in return for a voluntary donation.

Macnabs today announces a trio of new appointments as it continues to strengthen its family law department. Duncan Mackinnon, Lynne Kelly and Christie Rattray have all joined the family law team at Macnabs from Lindsays in Dundee. Partner Rachael MacDonald, previously at Harper Macleod, also joined the firm earlier this year to complement the family law team.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Secretary to strengthen our busy court team which can be based in any of our offices. This is a full-time role working, 8.45am until 5pm Monday to Friday.
