As an Associate within our busy Court Department, Clair frequently appears at Perth Sheriff Court and other courts throughout Scotland, dealing with varied disputes, in particular, relative to residence of and contact with children. Clair is a member of the Family Law Association and is involved in all aspects of Family Law, including matters surrounding the financial aspects of separation. Clair has a particular interest in Child Law, is accredited by the Law Society as a specialist in Child Law and volunteers with the Scottish Child Law Centre. Clair is also a Certified Specialist in Trauma-Informed Practice and has a strong understanding of matters such as coercive control, PTSD and how to avoid re-traumatisation of witnesses who have suffered any type of trauma.

Clair is trained to mentor students from the local area via the Lawscot Foundation - a charity which helps academically talented students from less advantaged backgrounds in Scotland through their legal education by offering financial assistance and mentoring to students through their University education.

Outside of the office, Clair enjoys travel, long walks, singing and playing piano. She is also a keen supporter of Scripture Union and regularly volunteers at camps and residential events for young people from all walks of life, and assists with youth activities at her local church.
